Direct contact heat exchanger is regenerative after-burning – also known as regenerative thermal oxidizers (RTO), which is used to destroy Hazardous Air Pollutants (HAPs), Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) and odorous emissions etc.
RTOs use a ceramic media (so called ceramic regenerator ) to retain and release heat on a dynamic flow cycle.
